Tillamook Lighthouse, in the upper image, was taken from a charted Cessna 172 on July 31,
2014 for the purpose of imaging the lighthouse from all sides, along with the coastline from
Cannon Beach to Seaside, Oregon. I now have one less item on my personal 'bucket list'.
The lower image of the lighthouse, taken from the southern edge of Indian Beach in Ecola
State Park, was obtained on August 8. In a few more days, the sun will begin setting
behind the lighthouse from this beach....each day from a point slightly northward
while the sun continues its slow retreat to the south as Fall approaches. In this
second image, the sun is about 2 degrees north of the lighthouse.
