The Great Orion Nebula in the constellation Orion as photographed on November
30, 2016 from the Sotol Vista in Big Bend National Park, Texas. The skies
were extremely dark, and this is a single image taken with a Canon 60Da
using an ISO of 1600 at f/4 for 143 seconds. A Canon 400mm f/2.8
telephoto lens was mounted on a Losmandy G-8 mounting with only the
standard sidereal rate employed.
