The Astoria (Oregon)
Column is located on Coxcomb Hill, overlooking the Columbia River.
It was built in 1926, is 125 feet tall, and has 164 steps in a spirial
staircase. It is
on the National Register of Historic Places in the United States.
The above image was
taken on December 30, 2012. Looking carefully, you can see the
planet Jupiter above
and to the right of the column's top. Christmas lights are strung
from the top.
