The Sol Duc Falls in the Olympic
National Park in the state of Washington. This is a 1 second timed
exposure taken on July 29, 2011. One may see the name as 'Sole
Duck' on older USGS maps, but
the current NP brochure has 'Sol Duc' as its name. This area in
the Olympic NP is about 12 miles
south of US Highway 101 near Lake Crescent in the northern part of the
Olympic Peninsula. After
passing Sol Duc Hot Springs, the road continues to a parking area, and
a 3/4 mile level trail takes
you to this beautiful area.
