Mount Olympus, elevation 7980 feet, as seen from Hurricane Ridge some 16 miles to the northeast.
This image was taken with an 800mm Canon telephoto lens, and shows the vast Blue Glacier spreading
northward from the triple summits of this most prominent mountain in the Olympic Mountains located
in the Olympic National Park of northwestern Washington state. The author waited over an hour to
capture the three summits while cumulus clouds rolled across from the west, still visible at the top.
