A panorama of the Eastern Sierra Nevada Mountain Range, centered on Mount Whitney, taken from north of Lone Pine,
CA on November 28, 2013. In the center of the image is a dark patch where Whitney Portals lies, the start of the
11 1/2 mile trail that leads to the summit of Whitney. The peak to the left is Lone Pine, and appears higher than
Mount Whitney only because it is closer to the photographer. The pinkish hue is from the morning sunrise behind
and to the left of the author.
