Mt. Shasta as photographed from Interstate 5 just west of Weed, California on February 24, 2012 during my
recent drive to Oregon. I first saw the mountain in the distance from well south of Redding as I drove north.
It was quite clear, so I was certain by the time of my arrival near the town of Weed, I could take some good
sunset images. Better yet, the clouds rolled in from a fast approaching winter storm off the Pacific to furnish
this beautiful picture of a lenticular cloud sprawling toward the south from the summit.
