A Snowy Egret at the Sacramento National Wildlife Refuge as photographed on
October 19, 2011. The refuge is located on the east side of I-5 between the
towns of Willows and Maxwell in northern California. With the visitor center,
there is a short level walking path, and an auto tour route of several miles along
the marshes and wetlands. This above egret can be up to 24 inches in length,
with a wingspan of 40 inches.
