Cannon Beach, Oregon: An aerial view of Haystack Rock and the (two) Needles off the beach, taken
from a heliocopter at 2000 feet on August 18, 2003. Rising 237 feet above the water, it is flanked
by 'The Needles', two large rocks jutting skyward south and southwest of Haystack itself. In this
image, one can glimpse Ecola State Park at the extreme left upper edge, just showing what is known
as Crescent Beach. Ecola Creek spills out into the ocean waters from the upper right side.
