Nova Delphini 2013, discovered by Japanese amateur astronomer Koichi Itagaki on August 14, 2013.
The above image was taken with my 10-inch f/4.5 reflector using a newly acquired Canon 60Da DSLR
camera for this 10 second exposure. North is at the top of the image. This nova is just barely
visible to the unaided eye, in dark skies, away from city lights. Binoculars or a small telescope
will yield a better view of the 6th magnitude star.
