An
unusually bright solar halo seen at Sunset Beach on the Oregon
coast on
May 11, 2021. The normal 22 degree circular halo is obvious, along with
an upper tangent arc at the top, and a lower tangent arc at the bottom.
The very faint parhelic circle runs through the sun (in the center), arcing
upwards to the left and right. Very weak sun dogs are on this arc, just
outside of the main 20 degree halo itself.
