From Dante's View, at an elevation of 5475 feet, this image is looking toward the northwest out over
the expanse of Death Valley National Park in California. This time exposure of 10 seconds shows the
white area to the left center known as the Devel's Golf Course, some 5760 feet below (since that area
is 282 feet below sea level). Well to the right are the lights of Furnace Creek, the park headquarters.
