The Venus/Jupiter planetary conjunction, as viewed from Indian Beach, Oregon
on July 1, 2015. The two planets were setting above the Tillamook Lighthouse,
illuminated by the almost full moon, and some 2 miles from the beach. This
was a 2 second exposure at ISO 3200 with a 200mm lens at f/2.8. Venus
is the brighter of the two planets, and a close inspection of Jupiter shows
a few of her satellites to the left of Jupiter's disk.
